Afrofuturism-- a term with many definitions, officially coined by Mark Dery in 1993-- is a cultural aesthetic, philosophy of science and history that explores the developing intersection of African culture with technology.
To get a deeper understanding of Afrofuturism, Lindsey chats with cultural and music icon King Britt, who will be on the curatorial board for the upcoming Afrofuturism festival at Carnegie Hall.
