Belle and Sebastian released their seminal first album, Tigermilk, in 1996. A couple decades on, Belle and Sebastian are indiepop legends and festival headliners with a catalog that includes 10 studio albums, including film scores, plus EP box sets, and live records. Belle's frontman Stuart Murdoch even wrote and directed a feature film and released an accompanying concept album, both called God Help The Girl. Host Elia Einhorn recently caught up with Stuart to go deep on Belle’s beautiful new album A Bit of Previous; his touchy relationship with inspiration; and the joys and sorrows of the follies of youth.
