Porridge Radio is the project of Brighton, England based singer and painter Dana Margolin. The band’s new album, Waterslide, Diving Board, Ladder To The Sky, is an emotionally lacerating masterpiece that centers her haunted, heartbroken meditations over a backdrop of fist-pumping, anthemic indie catharsis. When she and the band’s multi-instrumentalist Sam Yeardley were in New York recently, they sat down to talk about the strange experience of finding international fame during the pandemic; the power of repetitive mantra in songwriting; painting the album’s artwork; and Dana’s obsession with giving too much of herself away in her music.
