Radio Hour with Tiwa Savage
Our guest this week, Tiwa Savage, is the undisputed “Queen of Afrobeats.” These days, the Lagos, Nigeria-based artist is a huge international star. But it wasn’t always that way. In the conversation, Tiwa takes us to London, where she gets her start as a teen singing backup for George Michael; then to America where she attends the elite Berklee College of Music and writes for stars like Monica and Fantasia; and finally back to Nigeria, where she claims her musical throne. We also talk about Tiwa’s latest studio album, Celia, as well as the music she’s been making during this year inside.
