By the time she was 11, she got her first guitar and wrote her first song by age 12. Once Maren decided to take her dreams to Nashville, she set her sights on working on Music Row as a songwriter, but soon realized that her true path was as an artist. Since then, Maren has released three albums & has been Grammy-nominated every year since 2017, racking up thirteen nominations and one win thus far. An outspoken advocate for women and diversity in Country & Americana, she teamed up with Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby and Amanda Shires as The Highwomen in 2019, releasing their self-titled debut that year.
